Hello,
Is there any way to connect the freebox player to another windows/linux shared folder ?
I have another NAS and instead of copying the files from that NAS to FreeBox it will be easier to acces a share from FreeBox.
PS:
I can also stream the movies from that NAS but there are two issues:
- The FreeBox "looses" that stream server and I have to restart the WIFI to see it again.
- I can't see the subtitles (external srt,sub files) in that way.
Thank You,
Adrian

a nas must be connected with ethernet than wifi , it don't have to be near the player or computer and will have better performance
in version 6 of the player (fbx revolution) , it will connect to any folder provided by an upnp-av service
(like freemi , exist for win,linux and mac , http://freemiplayer.free.fr/index.php?o ... &Itemid=30 )

Thank You Piefra.
So streaming or direct copy on it is the only way for now ....
In my case:
Streaming:
Indeed my NAS (WD My Book World Edition) is coonected to the FREE Router ethernet port. It has a Twonky Media Server on it so I can stream directly to the FREEPlayer.
Sometimes the FreePlayer can't "see" the NAS and I have to restart the FreeRouter to be able to play the Twonky content again. This is happening only for the FreePlayr: I have also an Ipad & IpAftehone and they don't lose the connection with Twonky.
However the main point is using the streaming is not so great becouse I can't see the subtitles if I have movies with srt/sub files.
Network mappping:
FreePlayer can 'mount' USB and BluRay so I hope in the future will have a user configurable area where you can add a network folder address and FreeBox to mount it. After all it can share his content over the network (samba ?) so it should be able to "see" other network shares :) ... hopefuly
Thanks,
Adrian

you can mount your nas to a pc (usb/smb/cifs) and use the pc upnpav service configured on to test
if comportement is better , so it's your nas service which have not full compatibility with freeplayer ( wait a future firmware for both )
